Fergie Launches Avon Outspoken Intense Fragrance

The numbers for Fergies first fragrance launch with beauty giant Avon are in, and lets just say -- "Boom Boom Pow" is right.

"Outspoken has been our most successful fragrance launch in the history of Avon," beamed CEO Andrea Jung at a press presentation in New York, though the longtime exec chose not to disclose more specific sales numbers.

The Black Eyed Peas performer was also on hand to preview her next scent, Outspoken Intense, which will debut in July.

The 36-year-olds recent embrace of the current citrus trend continued with a body-hugging Diane von Furstenberg draped dress, as did her penchant for glossy black digits.

Outspoken Intense is a juicy fruity floral that will be packaged in a bottle as curvaceous as the star herself, with equally sexy grounds for inspiration.

"This scent is about that intense feeling you get right before going on stage. Its about that exhilaration, that excitement, and owning that moment. Its about really feeling that power when youre in front of a crowd," said Fergie.

To convey the intoxicating feeling, fruits like kumquat were blended for a sparkling element. The cheerful little fruit -- which looks like a miniature orange -- is also at the heart of tender childhood memories for the California native.

"My Dad grew kumquat. I always remember that he used to help me peel them when I was a little girl," said Fergie.

Starfruit is another note of the fragrance that stirs nostalgia and holds intimate meaning for the star.

"The starfruit is really special to me, because every time I go on tour -- especially in Asia -- they have this beautiful star fruit that they slice for you in the room. We had no idea what it was, just that it was so beautiful and tastes so good. Now it always reminds me of going to a hotel and enjoying special treatment," revealed Fergie.

With the success of Fergies first fragrance, Avons sights are set high for the summer launch, which will retail for $30 for an eau de toilette.

With a roster of celebrities as A-list as Reese Witherspoon who have also collaborated on scents for the billion dollar brand, we wondered what it was that pushed Fergie so far ahead of the crowd.

Global Fragrance Development Director Isabel Ryan says she thinks its due to the unique type of popularity Fergie enjoys as a performer.

"We hit the mark with her because its a time in her life when shes out there and connecting with women all over the world. There are celebrities and designers out there who dont necessarily resonate so globally, with so many different types of women," Ryan told StyleList.

"Fergie appeals to my nine-year-old daughter, and she appeals to me. People dont think, I can be her, but instead, I can relate to her."

Kelly Osbourne to Collaborate with Label Launch Own Fashion Line

Is Ozzys little girl set to be the next big fashion designer?

Recently de-inked star Kelly Osbourne is planning to launch her own fashion line, but not until she unveils a collaboration with an existing design house, Hollywood Life reports.

No wonder she was such a ubiquitous front row fixture at New York Fashion Week.

"Im going to design for an already made line and then once I get enough experience and know what Im doing Ill do my own independent one," the ponytail-rocking rock princess told the entertainment Website.

"It really is a long process and I want to do it the right way. Its not something Im running into.

"I dont want to jump into something and not be able to swim."

Though the "Dancing with the Stars" alum was mum on exactly which label shes designing for (your guess is as good as ours), she did cop to having a meeting about the project scheduled for her birthday, which is Oct. 27. Let the stakeout begin!

Its not the first time shes expressed interest in designing. In February Osbourne told StyleList that she wants "to do one [a clothing line] so bad," citing Gwen Stefanis L.A.M.B. line as inspiration.

So when can we expect to see this top-secret collection?

"In the next year," Osbourne told Hollywood Life. "Maybe even sooner!"

Consider our calendars marked. We predict a flirty line of daywear dresses with lots of black, red, and pink, plus whimsical heart and polka-dot prints.

But really, so long as she doesnt take any fashion advice from Ozzy, all will be good.

10th Anniversary Avon Foundation for Women Gala

Oscar-winning actress and Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation, Reese Witherspoon, arrived at the 10th Anniversary Avon Foundation for Women Gala "Celebrating Champions Who Change Womens Lives" in a short and sweet Jason Wu organza and tulle dress.

In addition to hosting the event, the 34-year-old also presented awards to some of this years honorees. Celebrity guests included Patrick and Jillian Dempsey, Christy Turlington Burns,Keri Hilson - who is the brands spokesmodel for Avons Imari fragrance and Color makeup collection - and a performance by Melissa Etheridge. 

The fundraiser netted $2 million toward efforts to end breast cancer and domestic violence.
